These pieces are the work of the artist Matthew Cox, who actually stitches onto x-rays to create these quirky & sublime pictures.
By stitching flowers, etc. to the images, he gives the x-rays a whole new life, turning it from something clinical to something beautiful!
He says the x-rays symbolise the masculine world of medicine & technology and he was inspired to add the traditional craft of embroidery to fuse the masculine with the feminine.
So fascinating!
